Sorry it's been so long....

Well it's been a year since my last post on here... Needless to say I'm no winning the award for best blogger of the year!

But I thought I'd catch you up, if you are interested, if not just enjoy the pictures of my adorable little man:)

Liam turned 2!!! He is turning into a little boy and fading from a baby... He is so big and amazes me everyday with how smart he is. He is quite the talker and comedian.

We celebrated his birthday with a firetruck theme, he loves anything with wheels; trucks, cars, motorcycles, trains, ect... We had a great time with friends and family and he loved all his presents.

In April Liam had to have minor surgery to straighten
his eyes. The surgery itself went well, waking up
from anaesthesia was not so fun. He was not a very
happy boy and it took about an hour for him to
calm down. Thank God for the wagon! We will
find out in a few weeks if the surgery corrected
his eye problem. He will most likely need to wear
his glasses forever or at least until contacts are
doable.

I have been working hard keeping up with two
jobs. I am currently working at Massage Envy
and building up my practice at a Chiropractic
Practice as well. Hopefully in the next month or
so I will be able to have built up enough clientele
at the Chiropractic office to only work there.
Life is busy with work and trying to keep up
with this silly boy! But I love it!

The professional photos were taken by Nikki James and great
photographer in the Dayton area, we love her and her amazing talent. Liam really loved the piano!!!!

Happy 1st Birthday to Liam. Wow it's been a year already, that can't be right, seriously? It's been one crazy, exciting, busy, joyous year. Liam is so stinking cute. He is the the man around here, he has the attention of 3 adults all day long. And boy does he eat up all that attention! He is walking, well really running, his poor little body is covered in bruises, but he just gets up and keeps on going. He is so full of energy it takes all 3 of us to keep up with him and we are exhausted at the end of the day.

Liam is getting so big! At his 12 month doctors appointment he weighed in at 19lbs and he is 30 inches tall, so long and skinny. Wonder how that happened! He is cutting his 6th tooth and he knows how to use them, the boy loves to eat. He is so good about them to no fevers or fussiness when they come through.

We has a great St. Patrick's Day this year, I got up and ran my first 5k with my big sister. Liam came to watch with Grammy and Papa. Then we came home to get ready for the big party! It was alot of fun celebrating with some friends and family. Liam had a good time, he wasn't really sure of what was going on but there was lots of people and that is always fun for him. He is a social little fella.

I look forward to this year. I will be graduating in 1 month YES! So hopefully after passing the board exam I will be able to find a good job and spend more time watching my precious baby grow up. He is so much fun I hate missing a minute of his day. God has truly blessed me with an amazing gift.

1st Christmas and 1st ER Trip!

Our First Christmas... We had a great Christmas together with family. Liam wasn't quite sure what to do, but he got lots of help from his cousin Mia. The paper was a hit but he also enjoyed his toys. He got quite a few visits from Santa since my Dad dresses up as Santa for parties every year. By the 3rd visit Liam didn't cry and even sat on his lap for a picture. But it was a great holiday season for both of us. I am so thankful he is in my life, He is such a joy and brings a real meaning to love. And  a small picture of what God's love for us must look like.

First trip to the ER. It's been a crazy last few days. Liam spiked a fever Saturday afternoon of 102.9 it went down quickly with some Advil. He had a low grade fever the rest of the evening. I gave him medicine and put him to bed, but he woke up around 230am and his fever had spiked to 104 and climbing. It was pretty scary, I woke my mom up and we went on our way to Children's ER. Six and a half hours later, two attemps at drawing blood, a chest xray, two shots and a night full of no sleep for the three of us. We were sent home with what seemed to be a bacterial infection. His fever has continued, some times spiking to 103 through out the day yesterday and some today. We went to the doctor today and he believes it is a virus. Liam seems to be doing much better, he is crawling around playing and getting into trouble as usual. Hopefully we are on the up end of this crazy bug. It's no fun watching my usually happy, crazy baby be so sad and pitiful. I did get to enjoy lots of cuddle time with him, but I can live with never going through that again!

Growing too Fast

My boy is almost 9 months old. How is that even possible?? He is so grown up, crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, climbing up the stairs and getting into all sorts of trouble! And he has two teeth!!! He is such a happy boy, full of life and very curious. He is quite the funny guy always making everyone laugh He is the joy of our lives.

I recently took Liam to the eye doctor. He said the glasses and the patch are working well, and if his eyes keep progressing he will not need to have surgery. Which was great news. He still has to wear the glasses and a patch 4 hours a day which he isn't too fond of, but he does pretty well.

We had a great First Thanksgiving, with lots of food and family and some football. Liam enjoyed some Turkey and Sweet Potatoes prepared by Gerber! We are looking forward to our first Christmas together. I think he will be so excited with all the paper and boxes but I hope he likes the toys too! He loves all the decorations and lights. We have our little tree up on a table because a certain someone would sure tear it up if it was in arms reach. But he still loves to look a it.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Glasses

So it's been a one crazy month. I have been very busy with school and work and not to mention one little crazy boy! But I am happy to say I am half way done with my school, I finished quite well but I am in much need of a break. Work is getting busier as we opened a cafe and we are quickly approaching the holidays.

My boy is 7 months old and very busy. He is still army crawling his way in to trouble. He recently discovered how to climb on to shelves and over the bars of the dining room chairs. He is extremely curious and fast! On to the other adventure we have been faced with GLASSES! We noticed Liam's eye was starting to cross and at his 6 month appointment we were referred to the pediatric eye specialist. Liam has what is called a Strabismus in his right eye. It has to do with the muscle in his eye and it is affecting his vision. So right now he is wearing glasses which he is doing fairly well at keeping them on his face to my surprise. We recently started patching his left eye to strengthen his right eye, he is really not a big fan of the patch. We will also be taking a trip to childrens hospital to have an MRI because his optic nerve is larger than it should be, and they want to make sure his eyes and brain are functioning together. It's been quite the adventure, but I must say the boy looks quite cute in his little glasses. We are hoping they work to correct the Strabismus so he will not need surgery. Please keep us in your prayers and I will keep you all posted.

6 months old already?

I really can't believe he is already 6 months old! But I also have a hard time remembering life with out him. He is growing so fast, he weighs 16.8lbs 30% and is 27inches long 70% so long and skinny, imagine that. He is a very curious baby he can army crawl himself right to the t.v. cords, peoples dirty shoes and anything that doesn't resemble a toy. He has always been a very vocal baby but he has recently discovered he can yell really loud. It's quite funny he just does it because he can, and we make a game out of it as well. He grunts and growls and we grunt and growl back, it's very entertaining:) He is incrediably active, always moving. I've never had a chance to wrestle a baby lion cub, but I can imagine it's very similar to changing Liam.

Recently Liam got to go on his very first airplane ride to Raleigh, NC to visit some dear friends. I was a little concerned about how it would all go. While we were delayed our first flight I caught some people looking at us with not so happy faces. I can only imagine they were thinking "oh great a baby, there goes my nap!" But to there surprise that baby was amazingly good. He ate, then flirted with some people seated behind us, and slept for the rest of the flight. That pattern continued on our second flight. I have been truly blessed with an awesome baby! Our trip was great, it made me miss Raleigh a bit and my friends alot. But we had a wonderful time catching up and introducing everybody to the love of my life. The time flew by probably due to the fact that we were so busy trying to see everybody. Sorry to those we couldn't squeeze in, hopefully next visit.

These days are very busy, I'm in school and working part time. While I'm away Liam plays with Grammy, who he loves. He is most definitely not deprived of attention in this house.

I know this is a little late. But I thought it would be fun to start documenting my beautiful boys progress. But I thought I should probably start from the beginning.
Well after a very long 40 weeks I finally started having contractions on Tues March 15th at around 11pm. Which was great, because I was due on the 16th. Little did I know that I would be having very painful strong back contractions for the next 22 hours with little dilating. Finally around 8pm on Wed night I was able to have an epidural which was great relief. I relaxed and enjoyed watching American Idol with my parents and sister Heather, was able to take a little nap:) Around 10pm I was fully dilated and no longer feeling the epidural(OUCH!) and it was time to start pushing! Well after about an hour and a half he wasn't coming, so they decided to have me stop, they gave me some more epidural and sat me straight up in the bed hoping gravity would push him out. I was able to get some rest and after about 2 more hours the epidural wore off again and the contractions were very strong but he was slowly moving down. But with that brought more pain as he was pushing on my sciatic nerve. Not fun. I pushed again for about an hour, and finally the doctor used the suction, on the third try at 415 am on Thursday March 17th(St. Patty's Day!) out came Liam Cole Norwood. He weighed 8.4lbs and was 21in long. I was exhausted and had some trouble with some bleeding but all was well because I had a beautiful healthy boy. Well worth every stretch mark.

I will try to start posting some updates as he continues to grow and amaze me. Liam is now 15 weeks old today. And we had a big milestone, he started rolling over from back to stomach today!!! He is incrediably active, always moving around kicking his legs and punching himself:) He is growing so fast, he is wearing 6 month clothes. I'm not sure how much he weighs, at his 12 week check up he weighed 12lbs so I'm sure he is around 15lbs. He is a really happy baby, he loves cooing and laughing, he is a growler too. And amazingly cute;)
